Kerala Cultural Showcase at Gurukul School
Dear KAW Community, we have a wonderful opportunity to introduce Kerala’s rich cultural heritage to the next generation! KAW has been invited by Gurukul School, Bellevue, to present a special cultural showcase for approximately 800 students across two sessions.

Showcase Details & Volunteer Opportunities
We envision a vibrant and educational presentation featuring Kerala’s traditional art forms, colorful costumes, cultural props, and live performances, with an emcee explaining the history, significance, and traditions behind each art form.
🎭 We are looking for community volunteers to showcase:
- 🌸 Mohiniyattam
- 🌼 Thiruvathirakali
- ⚔️ Kalaripayattu
- 🐯 Pulikali
- 👑 Maveli
- 🎭 Kathakali – Male and female characters in traditional costumes
- 🥁 Other unique Kerala art forms and traditions
We also welcome volunteers to help with emceeing, cultural props, costumes, and backstage coordination. Whether you are a trained artist, a cultural enthusiast, or simply someone passionate about sharing our heritage, we would love to have you join us!
